SIBUR initiated an extensive investment drive, emphasizing the augmentation of gas processing to fortify the company's raw material foundation. Through the development and enlargement of gas processing facilities, compressor stations, the pipeline network, and gas fractionation facilities, SIBUR witnessed a threefold increase in its associated petroleum gas processing capacities.

On October 4, 2021, the collaboration between SIBUR and TAIF Group reached fruition as they amalgamated their assets, giving rise to the largest petrochemical company in Russia and a prominent global player. This consolidation significantly fortified the resilience and competitiveness of the new company's petrochemical operations on a global scale. It also unlocked the growth potential of the Russian petrochemical industry, characterized by high capital intensity, while augmenting non-commodity chemical exports.
